The basement developed a serious leak last summer. We had to rip out walls and floors due to damage. The foundation where the front porch joins the house is? Was not done properly. This area under the porch was opened to the basement to make it larger. Some of the foundation was cut away, we think. The house is old. We like it though. We want it fixed but couldn't find someone to do a proper assessment of the foundation, basement and where to start. The quotes we got were quite high and very confusing. We need someone who will do an assessment, including addressing the core problems with the house and foundation, and give us quotes for each project separately so we can proceed with repairs and renovations. We are in the process of selling our house, and I want to seal a couple of foundation cracks and provide documentation to potential sellers that it was handled correctly. They are approximately 1/4" wide and unknown length because of stucco finish on the exterior foundation walls, and are located adjacent the basement window on each side of our house.
