What made you choose our company:

We have lived in an Eichler "mid-century" home in Thousand Oaks for more than 19 years. Through the years we've had misaligned doors and cracked walls & concrete around the perimeter of the house. With the drought over the previous 6 years, the soil kept contracting and the cracks got worse. We decided to do something about it. We interviewed 3 different "foundation" contractors including Saber. Each gave us a different solution to the problem and we didn't know who to trust. We then hired independent geological and a structural engineers for their opinions. They were somewhere in between the contractors but basically agreed with Saber which recommended the most extensive work. When Jason of Saber first came to our house to give his assessment, he arrived around 3pm on a Friday afternoon. The guy wouldn't leave. He spent over 6 hours in our home, measuring & analyzing and drawing up his proposal. Although we grew tired as the evening wore on, his energy and passion for his company and his job as well as solving our problem was undeniable. So we hung out, had pizza and let him do his thing. We ended up ordering 31 piers to support our structure. It's very expensive and isn't as nice as a new kitchen but after it's all said & done, we're very glad we did it and the money was well spent. What's so interesting is that these piers are pushed down into the earth until they can't go any further and then attached to the footings of the foundation. Apparently our house was built using a lot of fill dirt and the regulations back in the 60's weren't as stringent as they are today. Luckily our foundation has never cracked. James, EJ & Kyle (I think I'm remembering their names correctly) were the crew that did the work. They worked their butts off but were always polite & friendly & very helpful. Cleaned up after themselves very well....thanks guys. Although I didn't like how the office managed the "change orders", Jamie, Jennifer & Pam were always available and helpful. We have no problem highly recommending Saber. Our experience with them was first rate and our home is better because of them.
