Matt has been in the construction industry his whole life. Growing up, his mother was an architect, his father was a general contractor and he spent his free time working on all phases of residential home construction. Matt has a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Prior to joining Total Basement Finishing, he worked as a field engineer on large-scale tunnel and water treatment projects.

He is a true professional and brings a focused, intelligent approach to each job he is involved with. 

He enjoys meeting with homeowners and helping them solve their basement problems and turning their vision to a reality, enabling them to get more out of their homes. Matt has been building and remodeling homes as a hobby and believes a home is the centerpiece and essential anchor to a happy and healthy family life.

Here you can see what the basement was being used before any finishing was done. It is clearly just a storage space but could be so much more with proper finishing and utilization.
Before our TBF crew was able to to begin installing walls and floors, they needed to make sure the foundation was in good shape so it would not have to fixed at a later date. There were cracks around these drainage lines which was replaced by new concrete by our crew.
It is always important to make sure that your basement is dry before finishing your basement. Luckily, this homeowner waterproofed her basement first before starting her finishing project.
