The settling of the block piers in the crawl space had caused this side of the home to become unstable and sag. If left unattended, this problem may have progressed further, potentially resulting in even more expensive repairs.
The homeowner became understandably concerned when he noticed cracks emerging in the exterior walls. As a common sign of foundation settlement, the homeowner knew they had to act fast in order to get the issue resolved.
Many cracks have formed, and areas of the concrete driveway have settled over time due to erosion of the underlying soil.
The crawl space lacks proper support, as the block piers and makeshift support structures have settled into the ground, resulting in sagging floor joists above.
The homeowner noticed that the seams in the exterior walls on one side of their home were gradually separating, raising concerns about the home's structural integrity.
The homeowner reported that this side of their home had experienced the worst of the flooding issues.
These major cracks on the exterior walls of this home made it apparent to the homeowner that foundation settlement had occurred.
A severe trip hazard had developed within the concrete of this community's staircase, posing a significant risk of injury.
