This area is where water tends to pool in the basement, causing water damage. Without a surface drain, it will keep collecting water and damaging the foundation.
This basement has been damaged by water that has been entering it.
IceGuard was installed outside of the home to ensure water can escape even if the pipes are frozen or clogged.
IceGuard is installed to the exterior discharge lines. It provides an exit for water in the event that the lines become frozen or clogged.
