HomeSpec's crews needed access to the concrete block foundation under the carpet to install the IDS.
After a layer of plastic, a layer of concrete was placed on top and smoothed until it was flat with the rest of the basement floor.
With both systems installed, the family was able to rest easy with the knowledge their basement was secure and dry.
The HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair team installed a WaterGuard® interior drainage system in the floor and a CleanSpace® vapor barrier along the walls to protect the basement from further water damage.
Everlast Wall Restoration System was secured over the dry concrete. This waterproof material makes for a dry space and aesthetically pleasing environment.
The completed waterproofing system ensures that any water that intrudes is pumped out of the house while maintaining the finished look the homeowners desire.
The steel plate is secured against the foundation wall to prevent it from bowing or buckling any more than it already has. Waterproofing products fill in the gaps between the bricks that previously allowed water to leak inside.
The final step for both of these repairs was to apply a layer of new concrete and smooth it until the concrete was flush with the original floor. Now, the homeowner no longer needs to worry about water leaking into the basement or their foundation failing.
