Concrete along the interior of the basement was removed so WaterGuard could be installed. WaterGuard collects water and delivers it to the sump pump to be removed from the home before it is able to access the basement space. You can tell how high the water table is from how wet the crushed stone is shortly after being put in place.
Water seepage into the basement would occur so heavy and often that it would pool on the basement floor. Not only did this damage the finished areas of the basement and stored items, but the constant cleanup process became a headache.
This sump pump and dehumidifier was unable to mitigate moisture levels in the crawl space. Erickson Foundation Solutions was called to install a permanent solution.
Concrete along the perimeter of the crawl space was removed to allow space for the installation of our WaterGuard drainage system.
Without the proper support, floors sink and can become uneven. This can be seen in the curvature on the basement ceiling.
The water entering through this block foundation wall initially suggests a need for waterproofing. However, upon closer inspection, notice the crack on the foundation floor. Our System Design Specialist conducted a thorough inspection and identified several similar issues, indicating a more serious problem: foundation damage. Settlement was compromising the home's integrity, leading to severe basement leaks.
An extraction point was created in the foundation floor of the basement. PVC pipe was then fit to the extraction point, and constructed to the exterior of the home.
