The interior perimeter of the foundation was excavated to allow space for the WaterGuard system to be installed.
The outdated sump pump was unable to capture water, rendering the basement susceptible to leaks and flooding.
The wooden Lally column that was previously installed in the crawl space began to buckle under the home's weight, losing its ability to support the floor above.
WaterGuard has been installed around the foundation's perimeter to intercept water before it can enter the basement. The water that WaterGuard collects is subsequently directed to the sump pump.
Before adding perimeter drainage to the basement, some water surrounding the home's foundation would be captured before being exposed to the basement, but not all of it. This led to water intrusion, putting stored items in the basement at risk.
WaterGuard has been installed around the foundation's perimeter to channel water to the sump pump without being visible in the basement.
Water intrusion through the fieldstone foundation wall led to mold growth and an annoying cleanup process for these homeowners. Personal items stored in the basement were also put at risk of getting damaged.
WaterGuard is installed along the perimeter of the basement and encased in crushed stone to create proper flow of water to the sump basin.
