The sump pump already installed in the finished basement was unable to capture all water that surrounded the home's foundation due to a high water table. This left the basement prone to water intrusion.
The combination of a broken sump pump and leaky fieldstone foundation walls created a constantly wet basement. Personal items being damaged and the annoying cleanup process were the main concern, but the basement was also susceptible to mold growth and structural damage in the future.
Prior to our installation, the wet and unstable crawl space created humidity that spread throughout the entire home. That lack of support from temporary support posts also put the home's structural integrity at risk, with signs such as sagging floors.
