5 out of 5I can't speak to the services and systems that Sure-Dry LLC provides, because I have not yet moved forward with starting a project with them, but I wanted to intentionally write a review to commend Sure-Dry, and specifically their specialist Shane R, for his integrity during my estimate appointment. About a month ago, another company I scheduled an appointment with called Erie Home Solutions sent a salesman to come look at my basement. My wife and I have been having some bowing in our basement walls and leaking. The salesman from this other company arrived in an expensive luxury car, did not bring any tools, did a brief inspection, then sat me down for about an hour long sales pitch that employed scare tactics, high pressure, quoted me $26,000 to do a drain tile system in our small 900 square foot basement, and then tried to get me to agree to signing for a project then and there.When Shane from Sure-Dry arrived, I was bracing myself for the same experience, but it could not have been more different. Shane was kind and genuine, and told me early on that he is not a salesman, and intended to give me all the information I needed in order to make the best decision. He spent an hour inspecting our basement with a full set of necessary tools and instruments. When he was done he showed me a number of observations of things that need to be addressed, but did not frame it as though I needed to be afraid about my house imminently collapsing. He even pointed out things that I can do myself, and explained how I could take small steps to improve the situation and improve the support system in my basement. At the end, he gave me a detailed report of what they could offer as solutions (which was about half as much as the other company quoted for just one component of their solution). He did not do a sales pitch, and he said that when I came to a point of decision, I could re-contact him and he could come give a detailed explanation of their systems so that I could get the discount that is offered during a sales pitch, but when I'm ready to move forward.Sure-Dry has made the right decision to not use high-pressure tactics to sell their product, because I trust that I'm getting a reasonable estimate and will likely move forward with them when my wife and I are ready.
