The Turtl is the best crawlspace door on the market. It replaces most of the old crawlspace doors that leak and rattle in the wind. The Turtl is also made of high quality plastic which means no rust or rot or mold, EVER!

Even if you have never had water in the crawlspace, a sump pump is always a great idea. This home in Lewes, DE never had a problem with standing water...under it did. The liner or vapor barrier will protect against moisture and humidity, but does not stop major water flow from entering the crawlspace. This homeowner found out the hard way that a system is only as strong as its weakest part. The old metal crawlspace door did nothing to stop the flow of water. After DryZone pumped out the crawlspace, we added a sump pump so that future problems might be avoided. We also added a strong and water tight Turtl entrance system (not shown in this album) to keep outside water from coming in that way.

This home in Lewes had very high humidity in the crawl space. So much so that the insulation was starting to fall down. DryZone was able to help the homeowner fix this problem before it got worse. The CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier was installed to keep the water vapor in the dirt from getting into the air. Some of the ruined insulation was removed, but the homeowner chose to leave the majority of it in place. A lot of people like to use their crawl space to store beach chairs, seasonal clothing, boogie boards, or extra siding. What happens to those things in a wet and musty crawl space? You might as well just throw them in the garbage. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier and a proper dehumidifier can save your belongings. Mold can grow very easily in an open dirt crawl space, so cleaning it up and drying it out makes perfect sense.

This crawl space in Lewes had a lot of open and empty pits where the ground was uneven. The homeowner was pleased to learn that the ground could be leveled with gravel before the CleanSpace system was installed. If the ground wasn't leveled there would always be a danger of falling into a hole while crawling around under the house.
