This Midway, GA homeowner is a past customer of Lowcountry Foundation Repair since 2013. We sent an inspector to Midway to inspect where the floors were sagging. After inspecting the crawl space, he suggested they have SmartJacks installed to lift the settling floor joists. SmartJacks are a galvanized steel column support that lifts sagging floor joists.

After just one day of installation, the floors were leveled with SmartJacks and the home was ready to sell!

This home in Jesup, GA had a prior powderpost beetle infestation that left the floor of the home weak and sagging. There were large gaps growing in between the base of the wall and the floor from sagging. The wood was repaired with new treated wood and our team installed the SmartJack Support System to lift and stabilize the new floor into place. Our inspector recommended also considering a CleanSpace Encapsulation later on to control the moisture levels in the crawl space, preventing mold growth and deterring the interest of powderpost beetles.
