Several repaired basement foundation wall cracks re-opened and drywall upstairs began to crack again also.  This home owner knew he had to fix it once and for all and decided to get our push pier foundation repair system installed by foundation support works.

Wendy R. of St. Charles was worried about the long cracks that had formed along her foundation walls, as seen in the photo. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call for a free assessment. Woods suggested installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.

Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize foundation walls by connecting an earth anchor embedded into the soil of the yard to a steel wall plate on the inside of the foundation wall with a galvanized steel anchor rod. They are tightened to prevent further bowing and cracking of the wall and even straighten the wall in most cases. As shown in the photo, the steel wall plates can be covered as well to be more aesthetically pleasing

The wall anchoring system is designed to hold a bowing in wall in place and stop further inward movement of the wall.

The interior anchor plate is a large single plate attech to the DOUBLE earth anchor plate.  Engineers have caluclated the depth and distance the earth anchor needs to be for the proper working order of the wall anchoring system.  Soil undisturbed is dense and can stop the inward shifting of the loose soil inthe backfill area next to a basement foundation.
