Kevin and Kelley K., Ballwin, Missouri homeowners, were distraught by the large crack in their basement wall. The crack not only allowed water in, but it compromised their foundation.

Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed to restore the bowing wall to its original position and provide support for the home. After the installation, the basement was waterproofed. Along the foundation walls, galvanized steel anchor rods were driven through the walls and connected to earth anchors embedded in stable soil in the yard and to steel wall plates on the inside of the walls. They permanently stabilize the walls in place, restoring value to the home. They can also straighten walls over time by tightening the anchors during dry conditions.

Our system design specialist went over to do an inspection and created a design that would create stability for the basement walls. Foreman, Jeremy R. did a Geo-lock Wall Anchor installation. What this system does is permanently stabilize homes while also making the basement walls straight. No heavy equipment is involved with this installation which makes this the most simple and quickest solution for bowing walls.

Foreman Bradly P installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor in Joan’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to a stable level of soil away from the house, and the other will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and overtime will straighten the walls.

David and Darlene W were concerned when they noticed that their floors were sinking and their basement walls were beginning to bow. So, they decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Brenton K was able to come up with a solution to the problem. 

Foreman Bradly P installed a Push Pier in David and Darlene’s basement. The Push Pier will be driven into a stable level of soil and support the portion of the house that is sinking. It will also be able to raise its level over time.
