Monticello, Illinois homeowner Randy noticed cracks in the ceilings of his first floor, he also thought the floors had to much give. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Greg developed a plan for him. 

Foreman Josh and his crew installed 5 7' SmartJacks throughout the basement. The SmartJacks are steel assembly beams that will provide the extra support needed by the floors. They are anchored at the beam and at the floor to provide the strongest support. 

Randy no longer has to worry about the safety of his family. 

A brick foundation was shifting in a basement in Monticello, IL, causing cracks to form and the wall to bow out. To solve this issue, specialized GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These longer wall anchors are a customized solution for extreme foundation failure, as they will permanently stabilize the wall, straightening it to its original position and keeping it in place. The cracks will also be closed so that no water can leak through. This foundation will now remain stable and secure for years to come!

Support posts were failing in a basement in Monticello, IL, causing concern. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. These are steel support systems that can permanently stabilize and level the floor joists and girders in a basement. These add strength and stability to the existing columns and piers. They are unaffected by moisture, as they will not rust, weaken, or be affected by mold. These will lift the floors above back toward their original position, reduce floor “bounce” caused by excessive joist spans, and solve the problem once and for all!

Foreman Jeremy R Installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Del’s Basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to stable soil away from the house. The other end will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and over time will straighten the walls. 

A foundation was settling in a basement in Teutopolis, IL, causing it to bow inward and crack. water was also beginning to leak out of these cracks. To solve these issues, the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. This foundation will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
