A house with foundation settlement issues in Farmington, Missouri started getting cracks in the exterior walls that needed repaired. To resolve this issue, Woods installed The Push Pier System to permanently stabilize the foundation. The Push Pier System consists of hydraulically driven steel tube sections that are driven past unstable topsoils to the sturdy bedrock beneath it. This helped stabilize the foundation and resolve the cracks forming on the exterior walls.

Foundation settling problems can be accomplished by placing the Foundation SupportWorks® pier bracket directly below the vertical basement wall.  The pier may either be placed on the inside of the basement to save landscaping or on the outside to adjust for the wall rotating outward.  In this case the problem was caught early and the push piers were installed in the interior.  When installed this way, soil does need to be excavated, but our experts make sure to clean up after themselves and the homeowner will never even be able to tell that we were there...besides the fact that they will now have a straight, stable wall!

Wall anchors, pictured above, are made of steel and extend from the inside walls of the basement to the hard packed soil outside. They help stabilize and prevent further movement of the walls.
