Woods installed two TripleSafe sump systems, one of which is shown in the picture, as part of the waterproofing system. Each TripleSafe contains a primary, a secondary and a battery back up pump. They take water from the drainage system and expel it out and away from the basement through their discharge lines. If the primary pump is unable to keep up with a higher volume of water coming from a heavy downpour, the secondary pump will automatically kick into action to keep the basement dry. In the event of a power outage, the battery back up pump can pump up to 11,000 gallons of water out of the basement on a full charge to keep water at bay until power is restored.

WaterGuard is situated on top of the concrete footing, away from mud and debris that might clog it as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump for its removal.
