The sump pump that was meant to take care of the water problem was no longer working and its open pit made it hazardous as well as allowed water to evaporate and make the basement air humid so Suzanne called Woods Basement Systems. Woods replaced the old, nonfunctional sump pump with the Twin Pack as part of the new waterproofing system. The Twin Pack contains two powerful cast iron pumps in its airtight sealed sump liner. The pumps sit at different levels within the liner and will kick in automatically when water levels rise in the pit which gives two layers of protection against severe weather.

Woods replaced the small store-bought dehumidifier with the SaniDry dehumidifier as part of that waterproofing system. The SaniDry is an energy star rated dehumidifier, which means it’s as energy efficient as smaller units but much more powerful. It can remove up to 109 pints of water from the air in a day. By keeping the relative humidity low, the SaniDry prevents conditions that foster mold growth and create musty smells.
