Support blocks were falling apart in a Vienna, IL crawlspace, causing the floor joists to fall. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will now remain supported and stable for years to come!

Diagonal wall cracks are a sign of inward movement of the basement wall.  Damage to the finished interior wall is another sign of a problem.  We stabilized and stopped this inward bowing by installing Foundation SupportWorks® Goe-Lock™ wall anchors.  This system includes an interior wall plate attached to an exterior double wall anchor plate via a "hot dipped" galvanized rod.  Pinning the wall back by anchoring it to dense stable soils more than 9 feet away from the bowing wall is an efficient and effective way to solve bowing walls.

Customer, Joe of Elkville, Illinois had sagging floors. He already had two floor jacks set up, but they were not doing the job. So he decided to call Woods Basement Systems for help. Systems design specialist Jacob K. was able to find a solution by recommending the installation of six SmartJacks.

A home in Goreville, Illinois, had some exterior cracking foundation walls that needed to be addressed. This is most likely caused by sinking and moving ground soils as they heat and cool over time. To remedy this issue, Woods came in and installed new wall supports to close up those cracks. With the GeoLock Anchor System, heavy duty steel anchors are buried some ways away from the home and connected to the home using steel rods. These rods are then attach to steel wall plates that are placed directly on the wall. As the rods are tightened, they pull the wall back into place. This system can be tightened over time as well, allowing easy maintenance to be done without any more costly installs. With these GeoLocks in place, this home is sure to remain stable for decades to come.
