Josh and Whitney were concerned about the water in their basement. They decided that WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump was the best option for the quality of their home.

The homeowner of this basement in Kewanee wanted to improve the basement with new flooring. They called the MidAmerica Basement Team to install ThermalDry Flooring. ThermalDry is specially made for basements as it is made of materials that resist water, water vapor and mold growth. After the team waterproofed the perimeter with WaterGuard, the team installed ThermalDry Flooring. The patented ThermalDry Flooring helps make cold, damp floors more comfortable as well as making the basement feel homier and more inviting. What a beautiful transformation!

The homeowner of the crawl space in Kewanee wanted their crawl space to be healthy, dry and possibly usable. The team fitted the space with the patented CleanSpace liners. CleanSpace liners are a 20 mil thick, 7 layer material that is inorganic and has an additive called UltraFresh that fights mold growth. The CleanSpace liners also acts as a vapor barrier. The team also installed a SmartSump (not pictured). SmartSump is ideal for crawl spaces that have piping running through the space. If a pipe breaks, the ever strong and efficient CleanSpace liner will not allow the water to drain out of the space which could to be problematic f not addressed quickly. The SmartSump is compact enough for crawl spaces and comes equipped with the WaterWatch alarm which will alert the homeowner of any rising issues. The SmartSump has an air tight lid that allows water to drain but does not allow water vapor to escape. 

This crawl space is clean, protected and now has the potential to be extra storage space if the homeowner chooses. 

Finn had been living in her home for the past 5 years and had never had an issue with a leaking basement: or at least he thought. His once finished basement was now a disaster. After installing a new waterproofing system with MidAmerica Basement Systems, he was intrigued by the RockWell Egress Window systems. He figured since he will be refinishing his newly waterproofed basement, he would add natural light. Because the RockWell systems use a beautiful “rock-like” finish, he knew that those were the types of egress windows that would help bring his finished look together. Now Shanon has an abundance of natural light that provides a safety escape during emergencies.

Bryan was having issues with water seeping in through foundation cracks in his wall, leaving a large mess every time it rained. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the issue addressed. During his inspection, Mike had offered a BrightWall to help reduce moisture in the basement and to make the appearance of the area brighter. BrightWall is a rigid plastic paneling that will not support mold growth and will not rot. To complete the rest of the waterproofing system, WaterGuard was then installed along the perimeter of the basement to collect the seeping water from the walls to redirect it to the TripleSafe sump. The sump then discharged the water back out of the home, leaving the basement dry. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona was installed to keep the humidity levels down, leaving Bryan with a happy basement.
