Des Moines Concrete Leveling
As you can see, this section of concrete has settled at the seam or joint. For several years it was a small duck pond holding water after local rain. With our revolutionary PolyLEVEL system we were able to restore the sidewalk slap back to level, and do it at a fraction of the cost of replacement. The concrete cosmetically is the same color and matches the surroundings.

These homeowners starting seeing water stains and cracking forming in their basement. They were worried about mold, allergens and water coming through the wall, so they called Midwest! They wanted the job to be done right the first time, and knew they could trust us to take care of them. Brandon Rost, System Design Specialist, came out to meet them. After the inspection, Brandon proposed installing CleanSpace, PowerBraces, and a Sedona Dehumidifier. CleanSpace would be used as a barrier between the wall and the basement. CleanSpace helps prevent water from entering the basement, as well as preventing mold from forming and allergens from getting in. CleanSpace is waterproof, so if water gets in, it flows down the tarp like material and into the waterproofing system. This way, water does not sit in one place, which can cause mold to grow. To help the cracking and slight deflection of the wall, he proposed PowerBraces. These are metal braces that are installed to the wall that stop the walls from caving in anymore, as well as can help straighten the wall over time. The dehumidifier would also help prevent mold from growing by keeping the moisture levels down. The homeowners were excited with this idea, and we sent out the installation team. The homeowners were happy they were able to understand why the problems they were facing were happening, and what the best solution was. Check out the before and after photos of these walls!
Early Stage Bowing Walls Stopped in Des Moines, IA
Shirley expressed concerns about the continued movement and potential collapse of their basement wall, as they wished to continue utilizing the basement space. The high pressure exerted on the wall posed a risk of further outward displacement. To address this issue, we recommended the implementation of a CarbonArmor system, which would effectively stabilize the wall and preserve the integrity of the living area.
The CarbonArmor system offers a permanent solution for stabilizing foundation walls. It employs fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) that possess exceptional strength, surpassing that of steel by tenfold. Moreover, these FRPs are flexible enough to conform tightly to the shape of the basement wall. By utilizing ArmorLock brackets, the CarbonArmor straps are securely affixed to the floor joists, resulting in a fast and non-invasive installation process. This solution is particularly effective for promptly stabilizing bowing and leaning walls.
To provide additional assurance, the CarbonArmor system is backed by a 25-year warranty, ensuring the long-term reliability and durability of the stabilization measures. By opting for CarbonArmor, the customer can have peace of mind knowing that their basement wall is secure and protected, allowing them to continue utilizing the space without concerns of further movement or structural compromise.
