Help Drying Basement before Renovation in Cushing

A homeowner in Cushing reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems to get help with their walkout basement that had water coming in. The homeowner had plans to finish the basement, and wanted to ensure it was dry before doing the renovations. Our System Design Specialist came up with a plan to install a SmartSump system with WaterGuard, as well as Spray Foam Insulation. The SmartSump was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. We identified that spray foam insulation from Doctor Energy Saver would be a great fit for this project as well. We applied the foam throughout the basement walls, and the results were outstanding. The insulation made a noticeable difference and helped prepare the space to be finished and enjoyed.

New Slab & Waterproofing in Saint George, ME

Saint George, ME homeowner was experiencing water intrusion in their basement, mostly where the walls met their old dirt and concrete floor. We poured a new slab with drainage matting, along with WaterGuard around the basement perimeter, to capture any water coming into the space. WaterGuard connects directly to a new TripleSafe sump pump to remove water away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. The discharge line is protected from freezing up in the winter months with IceGuard.

Musty Basement in Hope, ME Waterproofed with WaterGuard Piping & Finished Properly

Looking to both waterproof and finish their basement, this homeowner living in Hope, ME contacted us at TC Hafford Basement Systems shortly after seeing us on their TV. After giving the homeowner a free estimate on the job, our crew got to work protecting the space from future water build up by installing a WaterGuard system beneath the surface of the floor. To remove any water collected by the WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump was put in; with the WaterGuard feeding directly into it. Next, to brighten up the interior of the basement and provide a layer covering the cold concrete walls, BrightWall panels were installed around the entire basement. Finally, TD Elite Flooring was installed across the floor of the basement. Now this basement is protected against any future leaks and has a pleasant finished look for the homeowner.

Hope, ME Basement Receives Full Waterproofing with WaterGuard Installation

Living with a damp basement for some time, this Hope, ME homeowner was in the market for a solution to their problem. After a call to us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and a free estimate from our sales rep., they were ready to have us get started on a WaterGuard installation to protect their basement. When our installation crew arrived at the home, they got started on the project by excavating the existing slab to replace it with a fresh slab fitted with a Drainage Matting beneath. A WaterGuard piping system was installed around the perimeter of the new basement floor, hidden just below the surface. Once the slab dries, the WaterGuard piping will capture any moisture leaking in through the foundation in the future through small slits along the lower edge of the piping. The WaterGuard feeds directly into a TripleSafe sump system installed in the floor as well. The TripleSafe houses three pumps, including a battery-powered backup pump to keep the basement completely free of water year-round. Finally, the discharge line leaving the home was fitted with IceGuard & LawnScape pipe segments to provide further protection against ice or debris that might have otherwise blocked the line and caused problems.

With these new installations below their home, this homeowner now has the permanent waterproofing solution they were looking for. The WaterGuard & TripleSafe combination will maintain a dry basement for this homeowner for years to come!

Foundation Wall Repair & Sump Installation in Brooks, Maine

This Brooks, Maine home was under contract to sell but a home inspection revealed the foundation had a bowing wall, and the basement needed a sump pump. To repair the foundation wall, we installed StableLock Wall, which is a new concrete wall poured next to the failing wall. We add extra supports to keep the home safe and stable, while also preventing the original wall from continuing to bow or shift. Additionally, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump to manage the groundwater, pumping it away from the home to keep the basement dry. The TripleSafe has two Zoeller pumps and a third battery backup pump, so it will operate in all conditions!
