Buried Discharge Line Installation in Wilmington, DE

When water is collected by our interior waterproofing system, it is expelled out and away from the home via a buried discharge line!

You may think that having an ugly mound of dirt in your lawn comes with the installation of the discharge line, but you are wrong! Our production team meticulously works to remove the layer of grass on top of where the discharge line would go, and carefully places it back once the discharge line is installed, making the system as invisible as possible!

Damp and Moldy Closet in Wilmington, DE

A homeowner in Wilmington, Delaware, contacted Basement Systems USA with concerns about water, dampness, and mold growth in their interior closet. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t find the source of the leak. Our team located the issue and proposed a combination of the WaterGuard system, which captures water seeping through walls and directs it to a sump pump, and the FlexiSpan system to seal wall cracks. After installation, the homeowner was very satisfied with the solution and the improvements to their home.

Crawlspace Encapsulation in Wilmington, DE

This customer had a dirt floor crawlspace that she wanted to waterproof and encapsulate. We started this installation with removing debris and regrading the ground to redirect water towards the sump pump system. Next, we installed a SmartPipe crawlspace drainage system and added an IceGuard to the drainage line for extra protection from flooding during the cold seasons. Then we encapsulated the crawlspace using our CleanSpace vapor barrier.

Triple Protection - TripleSafe Sump System installed in Wilmington, DE

This customer had lived in her 80 year old home for 20 years. Her basement periodically got wet during heavy rains, but during one particularly bad storm, so much water poured in, that after a short time, it was high enough to cover her ankles. Our inspector went out and found that only one wall was leaking, so the installation of 20 feet of WaterGuard was enough to keep the water from coming in. This basement had no sump pump, so we needed to install one. Not wanting to ever experience another flooded basement, our customer had us install a TripleSafe Sump System with battery back-up. As the name implies, the Triple Safe has three pumps. Pump 1 does the majority of the pumping. Pump 2 kicks in if Pump 1 is unable to keep up during a severe storm; and Pump 3 is the UltraSump Battery Back-up system. If you lose power, the UltraSump’s 120 amp power pack, when fully charged, can pump a total of 12,000 gallons of water, at 2,018 gallons per hour. Barring a severe storm that leaves you without power for more than a few days, the UltraSump should get you through until power is restored and the battery can begin to charge again.

Basement Waterproofing and Concrete Repair in Wilmington DE

Customer reached out to us with concerns of water coming in through the wall and sometimes up through the floor whenever there was a heavy rain storm in the area. We came out to the property to install a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, Waterguard, TripleSafe Sump Pump and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Once those items were installed and the basement was now protected from any water intrusion, the customer had us assess and re pour the concrete floor. As you will see in the "Before" picture, the state of the customers current floor, was not the best condition, it was cracked all throughout and even parts of the concrete had chipped away causing deep and wide cracks and uneven floors. We ended up breaking up and hauling away the old concrete floor and then pouring a new one. Now the customer has an even floor and a dry, bright and clean basement!
