A new leak was discovered in the basement, where water was seeping in along the west wall at depths ranging from 0.5 to 3 inches. Despite the nearby sump hole, which remained inactive with no water entering it, our team swiftly intervened. We installed BrightWall panels and accessories to establish a waterproof barrier on the walls. To manage water flow along the basement floor and walls, we implemented WaterGuard and FlowGuard systems. These systems were reinforced with concrete and stone and supplemented with ice guard to prevent freezing issues. This comprehensive approach effectively maintained a dry basement and secured the foundation, successfully resolving the water seepage issue.

This basement didn't often have water collecting in it but it definitely felt moist and it smelled musty. Our team had the fix. We installed a perimeter water proofing system along the base of the walls to collect and measurable amount of water seeping in. We then installed a SuperSump system to create a mechanism for that water to removed from the home. We then put BrightWall paneling on the walls. This paneling not only brightens up a room at a low cost but it also acts as a vapor barrier and allows any moisture to flow freely behind the paneling into the drainage system without the homeowner ever really knowing that its happening. Finally, we put a SaniDry XP dehumidifier in the space to remove water vapors from the basement and keep the space smelling great. The runoff from the dehumidifier will flow right into the sump system and out of the home.

The customer called us with a leaking wall crack in their basement. A FlexiSpan system took care of the crack itself, but the source of the problem was the basement window. We installed a new egress window that will eliminate the leak and any future cracks.

This Okemos, MI homeowner was dealing with water build up near his window well. Whenever it rained, the yard would get very damp and threaten to leak into the basement, but the water wasn’t coming from where you’d think. Sure, it was rain water, but it was flowing from his gutter downspouts. The spouts had been installed at an angle on the side of the house that led straight into the soil. The homeowner wanted an extension that would lead the water to his front yard. Ever accommodating, the Ayers crew stepped in and drew out a plan for a downspout extension and front yard LawnScape outlet. The discharge line was placed below ground and then connected to the two downspouts on the home. Think of the after shot as more of a “pre-final touches picture.” The crew later replaced the excavated soil and thoroughly hid the discharge line.
