Glass Block Replacements in Grand Haven, MI
When we received a call from some of our past customers in Grand Haven, MI with a request for basement window replacements, we initially thought they wanted a few egress windows installed. Many people prefer the egress because of the amount of light it lets in compared to traditional basement windows. But that wasn't the case in this situation. These homeowners wanted to install glass block windows, with the hope that they would stand up to the elements better than the traditional pane windows seen in the before photo.
The after photo shows the glass block windows after the installation and the drying cement that will create a seal strong enough to give this basement the Ayers waterproofing guarantee. Not pictured in the after photo is one window attached vent that will allow the basement plumbing lines to be drained during the winter without fear of flooding.
Installing Egress Windows in Grand Haven, MI
Dan and Jan wanted an Egress window installed in the basement of their condominium. Due to poor insulation around the window, most windows offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home. Egress windows help ventilate your indoor areas and prevent unwanted allergens from entering your house. So, our team installed an Egress window which will help keep Dan and Janes' condominium better insulated.
Waterproof Egress Window Brings Light into Grand Haven, MI Home
Jeff V opted to install an Everlast egress window in his mother's basement after having the entire space waterproofed. These windows bring in more light at eye level but also prevent moisture from entering the basement. These windows also provide energy savings in the long run.
Egress Window Installed Kent City, MI Basement
Travis called us with a request to have an Egress window installed in his basement. Not a problem. We were able to expertly install and seal the window in the poured concrete basement wall. We excavated on the exterior of the home for the install and placed a 50 inch wide galvanized window well in the hole to surround the window. Proper drainage was installed and stone was finished off the install. Now the basement is brighter and an emergency escape has been added for the space.
Installing FlexiSpan in Kent City, MI
Due to cracks in their walls, Kelsey and Randy were experiencing water leakage in their basement. They want to sell their house, but they can't until this issue is fixed. So our team installed FlexiSpan wall crack repair. FlexiSpan is a three part process that requires a flexible sealant, a flexible strip of foam and an impermeable membrane. These items are not affected by pressure or more movement in the walls, which is why they are better than mortar sealant or other solutions. So this system will provide a permanent fix to Kelsey and Randy's leaking walls, allowing them to sell their house.
