Collapsing Foundation Wall Saved by GeoLock Anchor System in Haslett, MI

Tim realized that a massive crack in his block foundation had formed. While looking for a solution, Tim contacted Ayers. In return, an Ayers System Design Specialist came to Tims's home to assess the problem and determine the right solution.

The team at Ayers concluded that the GeoLock Wall Anchor System was the best solution for the job. The GeoLock Wall Anchor System utilizes an anchor plate buried in the ground on the other side of the problematic wall. A steel rod is drilled through the problematic wall into the anchor plate. Once connected to the anchor plate, a low-profile wall plate is bolted on the interior side of the wall and attached to the steel rod. The plate is tightened onto the steel rod, creating a pulling pressure on the wall. Once tightened, the wall will be permanently stabilized.

Tim was thrilled to find a solution that would fix the crack in the wall and ultimately straighten and correct it over time. Ayers was happy to be a part of Tims's permanent solution!

Garaging Heaving in Grand Blanc

Kort noticed the corner of their garage was heaving, noticing water entering through a gap. Wanting the safest and fastest solution they contacted Ayers. Our resident foreman Blade was able to inspect the area and noticed other signs that the foundation was not properly supporting the house. Blade and his team installed Helical Piers around the home to reintroduce foundational support.

Helical Piers are a tool trusted by Ayers due to their non-intrusive nature compared to other foundational repair systems. The piers are long screw-shaped drives that are driven deep under the home at an angle. The drives keep going till they pass the weak soil and find new firm ground. The tops of the piers are capped with load-bearing caps that provide a flat surface for the home to rest upon.

PowerBraces Save South Bend, MI Basement Wall

A customer in South Bend, Indiana called us about her basement wall that was bowing. She was scared and wanted our help, so we drove to her property and gave her a free estimate. After analyzing the situation, we decided the best route to save her basement wall from collapsing would be to use our PowerBrace system. PowerBrace is an adjustable vertical beam used to help correct uneven foundation. The PowerBrace is placed up against the walls. Foreman will come in and tighten them over time in homes. The Power Brace is much better than I-Beam styles because it continuously improves the wall. Now that this homeowner has PowerBraces installed in their home, they won't have to worry any longer.

Shotcrete Seals Voids in South Bend, MI, Basement Wall

Jeff noticed his basement walls had large, deep voids in them. The voids allowed moisture entry, and he couldn't tolerate it anymore, so he called Ayers for help. We sent a team of professionals to his home to examine the space and see what we could do. They suggested Shotcrete, a solution that applies a concrete or mortar wet spray through a high-pressure hose to fill a form or repair damaged surfaces. Jeff is relieved to have sealed basement walls.

Installing PolyLevel to Prevent Sinking Concrete in South Bend, IN

Sandy’s slab foundation was cracking under her windows and kitchen. So she called our team and we installed PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk and it uses a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.
