The crawl space in the before photo had a few issues that were holding up the sale of the home. A potential buyer had recently seen the home and was willing to purchase it, but insisted that the owner permanently rid the crawl space of the water and musty smell in it. While the owners wanted the problem solved as soon as possible, they asked that we wait until August when they finished a few more of the repairs in preparation for the sale. The solution in the after photo is our CleanSpace vapor barrier system that will permanently solve the moisture issues in this crawl space for the current and future owners. Not only will the liner keep out moisture, it will also block out the odor that was causing the musty smell in the crawl space. The barrier will be the perfect selling component for the home.

Robert called Ayers for crawl space help because he noticed water accumulating in this area. We had a crew inspect his crawl space and it was decided he needed our Drainage Matting and our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. The Drainage Matting is a dimpled mat placed on the crawl space floor and will create a path for water to flow and drain to the drainage system. Then we added our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier which will clean and filter the air preventing the excess moisture from turning into nasty mold. We also left Robert's crawl space looking much cleaner!

We received a call from this Buchanan, MI homeowner who had grown tired of the moldy, musty smell in his cottage crawl space. The cottage was located next to the lake so, naturally, the first assumption was to blame humidity. After examining the crawl space, it was clear to the system design specialist that the insulation of the crawl space had taken in moisture and was definitely the cause of the unpleasant smell.
