With colder weather came colder floors in Teresa's home, and she hated having cold feet. She researched her options online and called Ayers to learn about the issue. Our crew of professionals visited her home to evaluate and realized the vents in her crawl space allowed cold air underneath her house. They suggested and installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier, a highly durable and antimicrobial material. CleanSpace deters moisture and cold air entry by fully encapsulating the crawl space walls and floors. Teresa is far more comfortable with warm feet!

Water was entering a homeowner’s basement through small cracks on the walls. She called our team and we installed the CleanSpace Basement Finishing Wall System to prevent any more water intrusion. This system acts as a vapor and moisture barrier by using a poly sheet material to completely cover basement foundation walls. The material is waterproof, stain resistant and can be applied over many different types of surfaces. This system was perfect for this homeowner and put a stop to all water intrusion into her basement immediately.

We received a call from this Buchanan, MI homeowner who had grown tired of the moldy, musty smell in his cottage crawl space. The cottage was located next to the lake so, naturally, the first assumption was to blame humidity. After examining the crawl space, it was clear to the system design specialist that the insulation of the crawl space had taken in moisture and was definitely the cause of the unpleasant smell. To protect the crawl space from humidity and it’s moldy plus one, the crew installed a full encapsulation system.  The first step was laying down a drainage matting to keep standing water from puddling up on the crawl space floor. With the matting in place, the crew began the encapsulation and covered the rest of the crawl space with the vapor barrier CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a mold resistant liner designed to keep moisture from permeating into a crawl space. The white plastic - seen in the after photo - is ultra-durable and will even help keep the crawl space better insulated during the winter months when this cabin sees less use. This cottage can now say goodbye to wet and musty and hello to fresh and clean.
