It's common for a crawl space to collect dirt and debris over time but leaving a crawl space unattended could lead to damage in the future. This Midland, MI, crawl space had extensive water damage. The homeowner attempted to create a water barrier using plastic tarp but it was ineffective. Linda had a lot of water in her crawl space and she wanted it out with the area waterproofed so it won't happen again. She also informed us that her floors around the home were sagging. Upon inspection, we found that a main beam was broken and it needed to be replaced and the floor supported. The first thing we did was install a replacement beam and support the floors with SmartJacks. We then moved on to waterproofing the space by laying down Drainage Matting which has dimples in it to direct water towards the sump pump. We then installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump System to keep water out of the crawl space. Next we installed the CleanSpace liner that keeps humidity, pests, and water vapor out of the crawl space. We also installed the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to blow dry air throughout the area to keep it dry! 

Our customer called with major water and mold issues in his crawl space. We used CleanSpace vapor barrier to encapsulate the crawl space after adding a layer of drainage matting to help water flow to the new Smart Sump pump. A SaniDry dehumidifier was also installed to control ambient moisture.
