Ted and Charlotte P. own a cottage in Grawn, MI. This wonderful couple was struggling with a constantly wet crawl space. Living near the lake, a high-water table was causing water and moisture to come up through the floor. While at their main residence down state, Ted and Charlotte saw one of our TV ads about addressed a wet crawl space.

Upon scheduling a free inspection and inviting us to their cottage, our new friends worked with our guiding experts to devise a solution that met their budget and solved their wet crawl space problems. After seeking other proposals, the right one was clear for Ted and Charlotte. The couple elected to have us install our CleanSpace Drainage Matting and the CleanSpace encapsulation system. Along with these solutions, we installed a highly efficient sump pump to ensure the crawl space remains dry. This Grawn couple do not have any issues in their crawl space but want to go ahead and take care of it in case something happens. It is also gross down there with dirt and a clear tarp on the ground so they want it to be in better shape. We used Drainage Matting to direct the flow of water to the sump pump and keep the water from being directly under the liner. We used the CleanSpace liner to keep out humidity, pests, and water vapor to keep the crawl space dry. Ray and Susan wanted to find a solution for their crawl space when they found mold forming. Whenever mold develops under your home, particles will circulate your home. After contacting Ayers Basement Systems and conducting an inspection, our team concluded that CleanSpace was the perfect fix. This system utilizes a unique liner to create a moisture barrier for the space. CleanSpace eliminated the mold and completely transformed Ray and Susan's crawl space!

This moldy, debris filled crawl space in Arcadia, MI needed some major work, but was nothing Ayers couldn't handle.

First, the crew worked to remove all debris and organic material from the basement. With that out of the way, they could start the mold removal process. By encapsulating the mold with Mold-X, it was neturalized and stopped from continuing to spread in the crawl space. Combined with CleanSpace, the mold would go dormant. CleanSpace is a white liner, shown in the after picture, that acts as a vapor barrier to keep moisture out of the crawl space. It is durable and mold resistant, and the final step for this crawl space. With that installed around the walls and piers, the crawl space was offically mold and moisture free!

When this cottage was up for purchase after years of vacancy, the buyer noticed that the crawl space would need a lot of work before it was ready for use. The biggest concern for the buyer was the layer of fungus that covered the crawl space floor in the before photo. After the crew first used Mold-X to control the fungi and mold that was already present in the crawl space, they began the installation of a vapor barrier to make sure that the problem never happened again. The CleanSpace barrier in the after photo was installed tight to both the ground and walls. Impenetrable by both moisture or humidity, the CleanSpace liner keeps out the main ingredients to mold and fungus. With the CleanSpace system installed, this home is all set for occupancy.
