This Mackinac City, MI was dealing with the-ever-so common leaky and moldy crawl space. To give the customers a solution that works and help their energy costs at the same time, our crew installed the Ultimate Energy Saver package. The package includes two different types of insulation: SilverGlo Walls and Terrablock foam for the floor. These products will help better regulate the temperatures of the crawl space and provide a waterproof solution at the same time. Both are made of waterproof material and won’t allow water or humid air (the key ingredients to mold growth) to leak into the crawl space. Don’t look too hard for Terrablock in the after photo. The key to keeping mold and water out is the CleanSpace encapsulation. That’s the white, plastic liner seen in the after photo and it covers every inch of the crawl space floor, including the Terrablock foam. Impenetrable by water vapor or moisture, a CleanSpace encapsulation is just what this crawl space needed to put a stop its leaking water and energy problems. 

We received a call from one of our customers in Petoskey. This customer wanted help with their crawlspace, specifically insulating it. We decided to install our advanced CleanSpace technology.  CleanSpace is a 20 mil thick plastic liner that fits to the crawl space to completely seal the home from the earth. Polyester cord reinforcement allows for a lot of durability, to make it last longer than the home will. This liner also contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold. This technology transformed this homeowner home forever.

Crawl spaces, especially in areas near bodies of water, tend to become very damp and dirty. The moisture and mold that reside in the crawl space then travels up into the home through the floor. To prevent this trend from furthering in their home, a customer in Petoskey, MI gave us a call. Bruce called Ayers when he saw pools of water forming in his crawl space. One of our Ayers System Design Specialists came out for inspection and determined CleanSpace, SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, along with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System would be a great fix for these water issues. 

CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that protects against excess moisture buildup. It consists of a thick, durable, plastic liner that will last decades. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier will remove water in the air and filter it into dry air to circulate throughout the crawl space. Last we have the TripleSafe which consists of three sump pumps in one liner. The first for the main job of removing water, the second for backup, and the last is battery-operated meaning, it will run in emergency power outages.
