A customer had a wall bowing in his basement so he called our team. In order to secure his wall we installed PowerBrace, a foundation repair system. It was created to secure basement walls in place and overtime it will straighten them. Often outside pressures can cause your basement walls to crack or tilt, this foundation repair system counteracts these pressures by keeping your basement walls in place. Over time, the system can be tightened to not only secure the walls in place, but to also straighten them.

The concrete in the front of  Keith and Theresa’s house needed leveled, so our team installed PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a system designed to fix concrete slabs that have sunk. It uses a polyurethane foam that expands and has a high density in order to raise the concrete. The process is quite simple and is done by drilling small holes into the concrete and then inserting the foam into the holes. Also, the PolyLevel system is waterproof and long-lasting.

A homeowner in Plainwell, MI, faced bowing foundation walls that threatened her home’s structural integrity, especially with an upcoming city sewer project. Ayers installed six GeoLock® wall anchors to stabilize the walls and protect her home from further damage. Now, her foundation is secure, and she can confidently move forward, knowing her home is ready for any challenges ahead.

Tomas had issues with the wooden support structures in his crawl space, so he called Ayers. He needed a more substantial support system, so we had our crew inspect the area to determine the best replacement. Our System Design Specialists recommended our SmartJacks. This solution will effectively support sagging beams and floor joists or provide supplemental column support where an existing column and pier foundation has settled. This solution utilizes a strong, steel foundation base installed in the subfloor for the home to sit on. The steel columns are attached to this base and can be extended in the future. We installed a steel supplemental support beam above the columns for additional help. Tomas was happy with the new support system that keeps his home stable and safe!

For this home we worked with the person selling their house, the person buying the house, and the realtor managing the entire deal. It can sometimes be tricky to please everyone in situations like this, but luckily everyone involved was great and just wanted the problem fixed.

Tthe problem in this case was a bowing basement wall. Note in the before picture that the wall greatly diverges from the level. This can lead to leaking wall cracks and, ultimately, a wall collapse. But by installing PowerBraces to stabilize and, hopefully, eventually straighten the wall, everyone involved in the house's sale can feel confident that the basement is safe.
