In 2015, Kathy from Balaton, MN contacted us because water was leaking through their basement walls, even in the winter. They had a sump pump already in place, but there was no drainage system, so the water was not reaching the sump pump and therefore could not be removed from the home. We sent one of our Design Specialists to her home to inspect her basement and develop the right solution for her specific challenges. She was happy with the solution we presented to her, so she scheduled the installation.

Our production team installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement floor and a TripleSafe sump pump in place of the old sump pump. Our TripleSafe is our most reliable sump pump system, which is backed by three layers of protection. They also installed our SaniDry dehumidifier in her basement to remove moisture and control the humidity in that space. Every year since the installation, Kathy has received an annual maintenance from our Service Department to ensure that her waterproofing system is working properly and efficiently. Kathy has been able to enjoy a dry, healthier basement since her installation in 2015.

Joy J. of Russell, MN had cracked foundation walls in her basement and one of her friends referred American Waterworks so she got on our list for a FREE Estimate. Our Design Specialist, Jeremy Girgen, went to her home to inspect the walls and come up with a solution. Jeremy answered all of her questions so she went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Jose Castillo, and his production team started the installation by digging five holes outside of the home and inserting a medal rod in each hole from the exterior soil to the interior foundation. Next, they screwed on and tightened one of our GeoLock Wall Anchors on the ends of each rod to stabilize and straighten the wall back into it's normal position. To complete the installation, Jose and his crew backfilled the holes and replaced the soil. Joy couldn't believe how quickly our crew completed the project!

Diane B. of Valley City, ND had water leakinHEREg in her basement, causing her to worry about her home repair needs. She got in contact with American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz. Ian went to her home, examined the leaks, and drew out the solution of our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain and our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier. Diane was confident and got all of her questions answered, so she moved forward with the project, and signed the contract. 

Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. Inside the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which serves as an underground drain, collects water seepage from basement walls, and prevents mud and water clogs. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace around the wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier is made to prevent mold and mildew, give the basement a nice and clean appearance, and is flexible enough to cover any uneven surfaces or abnormal walls. To complete the installation, Ryan and his crew covered the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them to ensure the spae looked better than when they found it. Diane was thrilled with the work that was done!

Our Design Specialist went to the homeowner's house, carefully inspected their problems, and proposed a solution that would work for them and their needs. Our Foreman and his crew installed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, TrenchDrain with Trench Lock, as well as concrete replacement. Our WaterGuard serves as an interior drainage system that collects water leakage from basement walls and guides water to the sump pump. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that prevents water from seeping through the walls and saves money on energy costs. Our TrenchLock is a system that blocks unwanted ground air and gasses from entering the basement. Lastly, our crew applied new concrete over the broken-out concrete to ensure the basement was neater and cleaner than they found it.

A homeowner in Valley City, ND, went to investigate their basement following a heavy rainstorm. The homeowner found several puddles of water throughout their basement. Fearful that it could cause permanent damage, the homeowner immediately searched for the best waterproofing companies in their area. American Waterworks stood at the top of the list, so the homeowner investigated our previous job stories and was impressed. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Kole. Once he arrived, Kole introduced himself to the homeowner and started his thorough investigation. Kole found several areas where the water was sneaking into the basement. Following his discoveries, Kole determined the basement needed to be fully waterproofed. He presented his findings to the homeowner and provided them with a solution. The homeowner agreed with Kole's recommendations, then the plans were sent to the office to be finalized. After they were approved, they were sent to our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew. to begin the project. As soon as Franklin and his crew arrived, they began the installation. First, they started by installing WaterGuard around the entire basement perimeter. Next, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe. Following the TripleSafe installation, the crew attached CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. Finally, the crew installed an IceGuard attachment on the outside discharge line. The crew completed the waterproofing project, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew.
