The following week, James arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the basement. During his inspection, James confirmed that several areas were suffering from water damage. To prevent this issue from worsening, James recommended waterproofing the entire basement. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed. Next, James and the homeowner worked together to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Franklin and his team began by securing WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to attaching CleanSpace to the unfinished basement wall. Finally, the crew completed the project by installing 8 PowerBraces along the struggling walls. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. Following Jack's arrival, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began the inspection. During his inspection, Jack determined the sump pump needed to be replaced. Jack proposed his plan to the homeowner and they agreed. Next, the plans were passed along to our Foreman, Edgar, and his crew to start the installation. Once they arrived, Edgar and his crew began by taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. After the sump pump was replaced, the crew shifted their focus to installing a standard discharge line. Next, the crew attached an IceGuard to the outside discharge line. Edgar and his crew successfully installed all the products in the home, so they cleaned up their materials and left. After purchasing their Forest City, IA home, Matt & Jenni decided to contact American Waterworks to have a new sump pump installed in their basement after realizing the DIY version wasn't keeping up with the demands of their home. American Waterworks was a no-brainer for these two, as our Team had previously installed our Geo-Lock Foundation Wall Anchor reinforcement system in the home back in 2013.

Bryan A. in Forest City, IA was tired of dealing with a wet basement after heavy rains and snow melt. The water had started to cause damage to his property and was creating a musty, unhealthy space. He heard our advertisement on the radio and decided to give us a call. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to meet with him and evaluate the situation. Dylan designed a thorough plan and assured Bryan that our waterproofing system would provide a permanent solution. 

Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Bryan’s basement by first removing the concrete around the inside perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor. Next, they installed 164 feet of our WaterGuard drainage System and 36 feet of lateral line. Then, they installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner, filled the gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Water is now guided through the WaterGuard, to the SuperSump, and is quietly, and efficiently discharged from the home. Bryan was pleased with the results, and glad he made the investment to protect his home.
