Ashley N. of Saint Louis Park, MN had water leaking from her pre-existing sump pump and from her basement walls, making her feel nervous about the water moisture and humidity in her home. She called our office and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Jared Bruns. Jared went to her home, inspected the problem, and came up with a solution. Ashley was comfortable with Jared's proposal, so they went ahead and got an installation date scheduled.

Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his crew started the installation by breaking out the concrete around the pre-existing sump pump and replacing it with our SuperSump Plus M53, which is made to keep basements dry for long periods of time, especially during harsh weather conditions. Next, our crew broke out half the wall perimeter and broke out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain, and collects water seepage from basement walls. To complete the work, our team filled the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

Leaky Basement Gets Saved in Minneapolis, MN

A Minneapolis, MN, homeowner was dealing with a leaky basement. Each time it rained, it seemed as though water would pool on the floor and in the corners of the basement. In the interest of protecting his home, he decided to look for Minneapolis basement waterproofing and eventually found our website. He decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Mac C, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home.

Mac got right to work inspecting the basement to see what we could do. When he concluded, Mac met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Mac wanted to use our WaterGuardThis French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps this drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog. It works to collect water entering from holes or cracks in the basement floor, giving it a channel to the appropriate disposal site, a pre-placed sump pump. Installation involves removing a section of floor around the perimeter and creating a drainage trench. Sections of WaterGuard® are then placed within the trench, resting on a bed of drainage stone, and the floor is restored. The homeowner liked the sound of the work and decided to schedule the work for some time later.

On the day of the project, Lane S, our Foreman, led his team through a flawless installation. Now, our customer can enjoy her home knowing that that her water intrusion issue has been handled!

Radon Gas Eliminated from Minneapolis, MN Home

A homeowner from Minneapolis, MN, had just learned about the dangers of radon gas on a household and was worried that her home could be infested with the gas so she decided to find a radon specialist in her area. When she found our website, she signed up for one of our FREE estimates, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dave S, was headed out to the home.

When Dave arrived, the first portion of his inspection was to place a continuous radon monitoring test in the basement of the home to adequately gauge the levels in the home over some time, delivering an average after a 48-hour timespan. Dave explained to the homeowner that the Environmental Protection Agency recommends taking action with any levels higher than 4 pCi/L. Dave went on to say that, should the homeowner level return higher than 4 pCi/L, he would strongly recommend the installation of a radon mitigation systemA typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by a professional, this system will lower the concentration of radon gas in interior areas to minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner agreed with Dave's recommendation but decided to wait until the levels returned to make a choice. 48 hours later, Dave was back at the home to read the results, which returned marginally higher than the recommended action levels, so Dave and the homeowner worked together to find the best day for an installation.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Geno M, and his team effortlessly placed the system in the home, successfully restoring our customers peace of mind in the air circulating in her home!
