A homeowner in Saint Paul, MN, noticed puddles of water in her basement and became extremely concerned for her home. She began searching for basement waterproofing contractors in Saint Paul, MN, and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our reviews and basement before and after photos, the homeowner knew we were the best choice and contacted us to schedule her FREE basement waterproofing estimate.

In less than a week, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection of the basement. During the inspection, our Design Specialist noticed multiple signs of water issues, such as rotting wood, standing water, and high moisture levels. For this reason, our Design Specialist recommended installing WaterGuard, our drainage system that collects water at the perimeter of the basement and safely sends it to the sump pump, CleanSpace, our vapor wall barrier that prevents water vapor from permeating the walls and channels any leaks to the drainage system, SuperSump+, our elite sump pump system capable of removing 2,200 gallons of water per hour, and IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to escape in case the discharge pipes freeze. After reviewing the proposal that was offered, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.

In a couple of weeks, our Foreman, Kiko P., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installed 45ft of WaterGuard, 44ft of CleanSpace, 1 SuperSump+, and 1 IceGuard. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Leaky Basement Fixed in Saint Paul, MN

A homeowner from Saint Paul, MN, was at his wits end with his basement. No matter what the homeowner did, one corner of his home was constantly taking on water, leaving him with puddles and musty odors. The homeowner was concerned that if he didn't address the problem now, soon his basement would be underwater. The homeowner had no idea who to contact about basement waterproofing in St. Paul, but eventually found our website. She was impressed with our basement waterproofing before and after photo sets and decided to schedule her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Romeo V, was headed out to the home.

When Romeo arrived, he got right to work inspecting the home. When he finished, he met with the homeowners. Romeo explained that he believed the leaky basement could be fixed with two of our products. First, Romeo recommended our WaterGuard drain. This unique French drain gets installed around the perimeter of the basement, below the floor slab, but atop the footing of the foundation to keep it out of the 'mud zone,' where similar drains tend to clog. Romeo explained that this drain works to collect water entering through holes or cracks in the floor, giving it a channel to flow freely to a disposal site. Through his inspection, Romeo noticed that the basement of the home lacked a sump pump, so he recommended our SuperSump sump pump, an economical yet effective solution for ridding your basement of unwanted water. The homeowner liked the sound of Romeo's plan and decided to schedule the project for a month or so later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Arturo M, and his team were able to install 49ft of WaterGuard and 1 SuperSump sump pump in the basement. Now, our customer can enjoy his basement without worries of a leaky corner!

Radon Gas Mitigated from Falcon Heights Home

A Falcon Heights, MN, homeowner was chatting with a neighbor one day when he learned that they had their home mitigated for radon gas. The homeowner didn't know much about the gas, but knew that if their neighbor had it, their home could be at risk as well. He decided to find a radon mitigation professional near Falcon Heights, MN, and quickly found our website. He was impressed with our other work in the area, and decided to sign up for a FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, was headed out to the home.

When Kyle arrived, he began the process by placing a continuous radon monitoring test in the lowest level of the home. The purpose of this test is to gauge radon levels in the home over 48 hours, after which time our Design Specialist returns to the home and reads the average radon results. Once Kyle finished the rest of his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss a plan moving forward. Kyle began by saying that the homeowner was correct to worry about radon. Kyle elaborated, saying that radon is an invisible, odorless, colorless gas that is emitted during the breakdown of the soil surrounding a home's foundation. He went on to say that radon gas is radioactive, and has been linked to the development of lung cancer, claiming 21,000 lives annually. Kyle finished by saying that if the levels returned higher than 4 pCi/L, he would strongly urge the homeowner to install a radon mitigation system in the home, explaining that this system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into the interior space. The homeowner was happy with Kyle's honesty and transparency about the issue, and the two decided to discuss more when the results were in. 48 hours later, the results returned far higher than 4 pCi/L, and the two began discussing installation dates.

Several weeks later, our Foreman, Dakota M, and his team successfully placed our radon mitigation system within the home. Now, our customer can breathe easier knowing that the radon gas levels in his home are much lower!
