Maryann and John A. of Onalaska, WI had a damp crawl space with sagging floors. Chuck inspected their crawl space and proposed a solution that would benefit their home repair needs. Our Foreman, Juan, and his crew started the project by installing our CleanSpace Encapsulation Vapor Barrier which prevents mold, mildew, and pests, and also saves money on energy costs because of its ability to keep the space warm. Next, our crew installed our SmartJacks which are steel, galvanized beams that support and stabilize sagging floor joists. A homeowner from Onalaska, WI, had been keeping an eye on his failing garage wall for some time. Over the years, the blocks had begun to separate, causing the wall to bow inward. The homeowner was worried about the structural integrity of the structure and decided to find a foundation specialist in WI to help. When he found American Waterworks, he signed up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Michel R, headed out to the home. 

After Michel finished his inspection, he met with the homeowner. He informed him that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from above, not from the side. When the side pressure on the wall exceeds what it can withstand, it's not uncommon for homeowners to see cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom of the wall, and/or tilting inward at the top. Michel went on to say that he had the perfect solution: our GeoLock anchors. He explained that these innovative anchors counteract soil pressure by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed, undisturbed soil beyond the foundation. Thanks to threaded rods that extend through the wall to connect the two anchors, wall anchors can even be used to straight walls in many cases. The homeowner needed some time to think about Michel's proposal but eventually signed on for the job. 

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Gabriel R, and his team worked tirelessly to install 4 of our GeoLock anchors along the problem wall. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing that his garage is stable! 

Larry M. in La Crescent, MN had a bowing foundation wall in his basement. He was concerned that his wall was no longer stable and that it was putting pressure on the foundation of the home. He knew how expensive it can be to replace and entire foundation, so he decided he needed to have a professional take a look and see what his options were. One of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, went onsite to give him a free estimate. Rick recommended installing 5 Geo-Lock wall anchors on Larry's bowing foundation wall. 

Larry was pleased to discover that our wall anchors are backed by a lifetime warranty, which made him comfortable having them installed. Brian O. in La Crescent, MN contacted American Waterworks after being referred to us by a previous satisfied customer. He was interested in our foundation repair and waterproofing products, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to meet with him and present our services. Brian was impressed with Rick’s evaluation and proposal, and he moved forward with the project. 

Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production crew were able to successfully stabilize Brian’s basement walls by installing 32 of our CarbonArmor strips along the perimeter of the foundation. The CarbonArmour system utilizes epoxy and carbon fiber strips to strengthen the foundation walls. Next, the crew began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor to install the 140 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system and feed line. Then, the crew filled back the gaps with rock, replaced the concrete, and cleaned up their work area. Brian is happy with the results and confident that he chose the best solution for his home! 

A homeowner in Fayette, IA, realized it was time to schedule their annual maintenance appointment with us, American Waterworks. After checking the sticker on their already-installed products, the homeowner called our Service Center and set their annual maintenance appointment. Once the estimate was finalized, the homeowner waited for the arrival of one of our service technicians, Alex, to begin the inspection. Alex arrived at the home and began his thorough investigation of the products. During his inspection, Alex discovered the walls were struggling from cracks and needed to be stabilized to prevent further damage. Alex completed the inspection and presented his findings to the homeowner. Alex recommended stabilizing the walls using CarbonArmor and the homeowner agreed. Once the homeowner approved the plans, Alex passed them along to the office to build the project. After the office built the project, they assisted our Foreman, Raul, and his crew in completing the installation. Raul and his crew traveled to the home and began the installation. First Raul and his crew began the project by installing Carbon Armour along the north foundation wall. Once the Carbon Armor was installed, the crew ensured everything was cleaned up and products were set. The crew completed the installation, so they cleaned up all their materials and left the home.
