Before our intervention, this Silver Bay home was dealing with a serious issue—floors that had settled over 4 inches in the kitchen, turning dream renovations into a wobbly challenge. These homeowners in Silver Bay, MN wanted to find a solution for their cracked basement wall. They wanted to ensure the safety of the home, so they reached out to DBS for help.

Design Specialist James Miller went out to the home to conduct a free, no-obligation estimate for the owners. After a careful and close inspection, James recommended our GeoLock™ Wall Anchor System and provided the homeowners with a quote.

Foreman Jordan Salmi led the installation of this project with help from a crew. The crew installed the earth anchor underground outside of the home. Then, the steel plates are installed on the inside of the cracked wall. These two pieces of the system are connected using a steel rod and can be adjusted to pull the wall back to a straight position.

These homeowners can now relax knowing their home is safe and stabilized. 

When a Silver Bay homeowner noticed early signs of bowing and weakness in their walls, they sought our help for a permanent fix. Concerned about their home's safety, they contacted our Customer Care team, who arranged a visit from one of our System Design Specialists. After inspecting the issue, it was clear that significant reinforcement was needed. We recommended installing PowerBrace™ and EverBrace® systems, designed specifically for wall support.

This basement had walls with cracks that were allowing water to come through the wall and enter the basement. We used our CleanSpace matting to create a waterproofed wall. This method also creates a bright white clean look for the basement foundation walls. 

This customer had another contractor come in and blow in a bunch of fiberglass insulation. To properly insulate this home we dug through this insulation to find all the major penetrations found and air seal them. Then new attic air chutes need to be installed and the new cellulose blown in over the top of the fiberglass. Then we insulated the entire rim joist. These photos show the difference of how the attic was previously insulated and how we completed a full insulation installation. The home will now be warm and cozy.
