Sagging Cabin Foundation Stabilized Using SmartJack® Support Beams In Hillman, MN

These homeowners from Hillman, MN reached out to DBS for help stabilizing their failing cabin foundation. When DBS arrived the home was supported by wood beams and cinder blocks. The existing support system was sagging and getting worse each year. 

A DBS Design Specialist went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. A homeowner in Aurora, MN was experiencing issues with their concrete basement wall. The wall was beginning to fail from lack support and cave in. Leaning Walls in Aurora, MN Basement Permanently Stabilized With DBS PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System

All 4 walls in this basement in Aurora, MN were bowing to a large degree. There were stairstep cracks as well as large horizontal cracks in the block foundation and total wall failure was inevitable. Looking for a solution, the owner called DBS.

Design Specialist Rich Johnsen visited the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the owner. After a thorough inspection, he recommended that the owners employ DBS to install PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System to permanently stabilize their foundation.

Foreman Zach Jorenby less the installation of this project. With the help of a team together they installed 6 PowerBrace™ I-beams. The PowerBrace™ I beams are installed by securing steel brackets to the rim joists of the flooring. Over time the brackets can be tightened in an attempt to straighten the walls. Each PowerBrace™ is backed with a 75-year transferrable warranty so if the owners ever sell their property the next owners will be able to claim the warranty if the PowerBrace™ were to ever fail.

Now that the home has been permanently stabilized, the owners can relax comfortably in their home without worrying that their foundation walls will cave in.

Homeowners in Aurora, MN Install PowerBrace™ System to Stabilize Basement Walls For Remodel

The owners of this home in Aurora, MN were getting ready to finish their basement and wanted to address their foundation issues that had occurred over time. Cracks appeared in their basement walls and a friend referred them to DBS in hopes of helping them find a solution.

Foreman Zach Jorenby led the installation of this project. With help from a team, together they installed 12 PowerBrace™ I-beams. Each I-beam is affixed to the rim joists of the home with steel brackets. The PowerBrace™ System was a great solution for this basement because the owners intended on finishing their basement in the future and PowerBrace™ I-beams are steel beams with a zinc plating so that they never rust and become an eyesore. 

Now that the home has been permanently stabilized, the owners can relax comfortably without worrying about their basement walls caving in.
