The foundation walls in this Eveleth, MN home had bowed over time. The owner was getting ready to sell the house and knew he needed to get this fixed prior to a home inspection. He called DBS and Royce Bunn, design specialist, came out to provide the homeowner with an estimate to permanently fix the bowing wall.  The DBS installation crew was able to install 10 PowerBraces to permanently stabilize this home's foundation wall.

He called DBS as he wanted an expert to come out and check out his foundation wall. System Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen made a visit to this home. Upon inspection, he found that the east foundation wall needed some additional support to stabilize the wall. After a visit from a Design Specialist, it was determined that the perimeter of the garage would need to have spray foam insulation installed to keep the garage better heated and more energy-efficient. Spray foam insulation works wonders in insulating homes where there may be cold and drafty air. The results of this project turned out great, and the homeowner can now enjoy a more warm and comfortable garage area.

This log construction cabin has been in the family since it was first built. Changes in the soil with freezing and thawing throughout the years have caused significant settling in the structure. The family was concerned about the health of the cabin and wanted a permanent solution in protecting it in years to come.

DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder visited the cabin and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the cabin's foundation repair work. After inspecting the crawl space, and measuring the structure's settlement, he crafted a plan that would restore the cabin's structural integrity. 

DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his crew installed 10 push piers around the perimeter, completing a lift procedure of the sinking structure. They also added supplemental beams and a SmartJack® System to support the floor joists beneath the cabin.
