Our guys had the pleasure of working in a pretty tall crawl space, enough to stand in, it can barely be called a CRAWL space! The homeowners were dealing with a smell that came from their crawl space when it rained, a result of the pooling water and mold that had begun to grow underneath. Even with the tall walls, our guys made sure our CleanSpace Liner was secured everywhere it was needed to block out moisture. Our crawl space dehumidifier and sump pump system were also installed underneath the home. The moisture issue had damaged parts of their joists as well, which we were able to support with our SmartJack System. We're happy we were able to transform their crawl space, and we're sure our guys were happy to work in such a tall area.

After doing some research, these homeowners became concerned about their crawl space that was left completely unprotected against moisture and the outdoor elements. To teach them more about the potential concerns and preventive measures, we sent out one of our skilled design specialist, Corey, to take a look at their crawl space. To really protect the underside of the home and the floors above, Corey crafted up a plan for our encapsulation system, a complete sealing and conditioning of the crawl space. This includes a durable vapor barrier, a crawl space dehumidifier, and a sump pump system. Each component plays a part in tackling moisture and humidity, making sure they cannot cause any issues. The homeowners loved the idea, decided to move forward, and shortly after we had one of our talented crews out to install the work. Take a look at the difference in the provided photos. In Liberty, MS, a homeowner faced a persistent issue in their crawl space. With no moisture protection, an excess of leftover insulation, and general debris in need of a cleanout, they knew it was time for a solution. Once they connected with our Customer Care Specialist, an appointment for a home inspection was quickly set. Our System Design Specialist visited their home, conducted a comprehensive inspection, and carefully diagnosed the issues. We started by cleaning out the old insulation and debris. Next, we installed CleanSpace™ Drainage Matting to create a reliable foundation for effective drainage underfoot. With its dimples and matting, this product ensures water is routed to the perimeter drainage system or the lowest point where the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump can take over. Installing the CleanSpace® encapsulation system further fortified the area, protecting against moisture and potential mold growth. Finally, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump was put into operation, offering the homeowner peace of mind through its triple-layered protection: aiming to withstand high volumes, prevent failures, and ensure functionality during power outages. The outcome? A clean, dry, and safe crawl space providing increased durability and optimized moisture control, long-term protection, and reassurance. Our client in Liberty, MS is now enjoying a foundational improvement that not only solved their initial concerns but is built to prevent future issues. This crawlspace was set right above our 12" benchmark to install an encapsulation. Anything under 12" is too low for our guys and products to get under. 

This house originally had lattice work wrapped around the perimeter of the crawlspace, leaving it susceptible to outside air. Thankfully, the homeowner had this bricked in, in anticipation of the encapsulation. Once this was done, our guys came out and installed our encapsulation system utilizing the sump pump, dehumidifier, drainage matting, and 20 mil liner. Now this crawlspace will be able to dry out without the influence of humidity and ground water seepage.

This once wet and humid crawl space has been transformed by both our encapsulation and smartjack systems. The CleanSpace Liner you see throughout the whole underside of the home is helping tackle the moisture problem. It is much more durable than your average vapor barrier, and is tightly secured to the walls and floors of the space. Also seen in the photo is one of our smart jacks. These act as a permanent support system for the joists/floors that were already affected by the moisture. They can even be adjusted to fit the home's needs as it shift throughout the years. Unseen in the photo is our crawl space dehumidifier and sump pump system, which both also work towards keeping the space dry and healthy.
