Garage Foundation Repair in Papillion, NE

Larry and Deborah R. are proud homeowners in Papillion, NE and want their house to stand the test of time so they can continue live there long into the future. Their garage was experiencing differential settlement, which means the garage was settling and leaning away from the home. With time it will continue to get worse, so they decided it was time to have it repaired. They chose Thrasher because they were familiar with our reputation of providing permanent quality solutions.

To begin the project, System Design Specialist Wyatt Simon arrived at the home in Papillion to perform a thorough inspection and determine possible solutions. Larry and Deborah opted to have our team install push piers to lift and stabilize the sinking garage. Our push pier installation involves the excavation of soil on the exterior of the house to place the piers onto solid bedrock to support the structure. After the installation was complete, our team cleaned up the entire site and returned the landscaping to its original state. All bushes were replanted, and grass seed was planted to help revive the lawn in places it needed to be removed.

Larry and Deborah couldn’t have been more thrilled with the outcome of the project. They were impressed with Thrasher’s efficiency and dedication to providing a quality solution. We were able to restore their peace of mind and help protect their greatest investment.

Large Void in Driveway Repaired in Papillion, NE

Diane K. buried a downspout over a year ago and noticed a large crack in her driveway and right next to the driveway a sunken spot appeared in her yard where the soil had washed away. Worried that the crack would cause future problems, she wanted an immediate solution that would take away the worry.  She had previous work done with us and felt comfortable in our work.

System Design Specialist Corey Nelson went out to her home. He was able to identify that the large crack on the left side of the driveway would continue to wash the soil out and also cause the middle part of the driveway to settle as well. We used PolyLevel to fill and level the void. Then applied caulking to the joints with NexusPro Joint Sealant.  Diane was relieved that this work would prevent the concrete from settling and was happy with the project.

Wall Failure Repair in Anthon, IA

These home owners were thinking of tearing apart their basement because he wanted to remodel, make some nice additions, and make it a livable space. When he started to move around some boxes, he noticed how bad the wall was failing. They knew they needed somebody that can do quality work and ensure they can finish their basement safely and confidently. They called Thrasher and System Design Specialist, Corey Little, came out to meet with them. Corey inspected the foundation, and determined the walls were starting to fail due to expansive clay soil and hydrostatic pressure from water build up. Corey went to the homeowners and proposed we use our EverBrace system. EverBrace is used in cases of extreme movement. We use beams and steel paneling that has foam pumped in between the failing wall and the wall we created to transfer the weight off of the failing wall. Corey also proposed we use WaterGuard behind our EverBrace wall with a sump pump that way if the failing walls start to leak, it won't be a problem later. It would be best practice so we would not have to rip into the wall system if water intrusion happens. The homeowners were ecstatic they would not have to move out of the home for an extreme wall repair. They were happy they will have peace of mind with a company that stands behind a 25 year warranty. Foundation Repair in Syracuse, NE

This homeowner wanted to protect their home to maintain its value. They know this is their retirement home, so they must keep it in good shape for their future. Since they've worked with Thrasher in the past on other homes, they knew they could trust us to get the job done right.

Dillon Gubbels was the one to perform the inspection. He found that the house had wall failure along the back wall's foundation. This was causing separation cracks on their interior drywall. The soil outside their home was driving this problem and the pressure is applied to their foundation.

We fixed this by installing our wall support solution, Geo Anchors. The anchors were the ideal solution to be the least intrusive on their finished interior while stabilizing their foundation.

The customer was happy with the results and even said, "Thrasher is a company that stands behind their work."

Retaining Wall Caving

This home's retaining wall was caving over. The homeowner is going to rent the bottom half of her home to her son, but the door to that part of the home can barely shut due to the retaining wall. She knows that if it's not fixed then it will fall over and be a bigger issue. To fix this issue, our crew excavated the area in front of the wall and then installed three wall anchors to it.
