Estel T. in South Sioux City, NE was looking to do some maintenance on his home. For a while now he been having problems with water leaking in his basement. Not wanting to deal with the cleanup and mess anymore, he decided it was time to investigate waterproofing solutions. After hearing about Thrasher’s reputation, he gave us a call.

System Design Jon Young went out to Estel’s home. He was able to identify that there was no waterproofing system in place. The crew installed WaterGuard, an interior basement drainage system. Also, to keep the walls dry, they encapsulated the areas with CleanSpace, so water would no longer come through. From start to finish Estel thought the process went smoothly and was happy not to have to worry about the water anymore.

Randy N. is a retired homeowner in Lincoln, NE and has struggled to keep his finished basement dry after snow melt and the heavy amounts of rain early in the spring. Randy has used Thrasher before with a previous project and couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Instead of tackling this project on his own, he decided to put his trust in Thrasher once again to repair his house’s needs.

 System Design Specialist Deon Thoene arrived at the home in Lincoln to perform a complete inspection. It was determined that the water seeping into the basement was caused by hydrostatic pressure and the existing drain tile failing to keep the water out. To combat this, the team installed our WaterGuard interior drainage system to drain water effectively year-round. Then, they applied our CleanSpace waterproof barrier to all the walls to restrict any moisture and water vapors from entering the basement. Lastly, a TripleSafe sump pump system was installed to guarantee protection from the common causes of pump failure. These three products combined provide a permanent solution to any wet basement.

Randy was thrilled with the results and couldn’t have been more pleased with the Thrasher solution once again. With our 25-year warranty in place, we were able to restore his peace of mind and make his basement a functional living space for him and his family to enjoy.  

We installed CleanSpace to these basement walls! CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that attaches to the basement or crawl space walls. It does a great job of preventing water from entering your home. And you can put drywall over it, too!

Diane's discharge lines (from her sump system) were obnoxiously long, above ground, AND ran right in front of her front steps. Not only did it look odd, but it was also a significant tripping hazard. On top of that, she also had a downspout discharging directly onto her sidewalk, which would create an ice sheet that would get slick in the winter. So she called Thrasher, and we sent out Breyden Eckhout to do the inspection.

After looking at these issues, it was clear Diane needed Thrasher's help. Breyden proposed a solution and got our install team out to the house to get to work. We buried the discharge lines and downspouts underground using PVC and bubble pots to direct the water away from the foundation. This also took care of the trip hazards by no longer having them above ground in a high traffic area.
