This homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems about concerns that they had with their crawl space. The kitchen floors of their Haskell, NJ home were cold and he believed there may have been water down there as well. Upon inspection, System Design Specialist, Laszlo Lenkey,could feel the cold drafts inside the crawl space. The cinder foundation walls were cold and damp and rodents were roaming around as well. A SmartSump Pump was installed to keep the crawl space dry. Laszlo recommended a Vapor Barrier System, which will seal off the crawl space from humidity and cold drafts. The SilverGlo liner is a heat barrier which will keep the crawl space warm and therefore the floor on the first level of the home as well. 

This Maplewood basement would flood when it would rain. The water caused damage to the homeowner's property especially the carpeting which grew mold and smelled. Quality 1st Basement Systems waterproofed the basement using WaterGuard. To refinish the basement floors, ThermalDry flooring, which cannot be damaged by water, was installed giving the basement a fresh, new look with the peace of mind that the flooring will last.

Although this homeowner had an existing sump pump, it was very old and had never been serviced, which caused it to fail during a recent rain storm. The homeowner called Quality 1st to replace their sump pump and install a dehumidifier to keep their basement dry. Our team installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump and the SaniDry Sedona. The homeowner no longer has to worry about their sump pump failing and their basement is completely dry!
