Foundation Stabilized in Lotbiniere, Quebec

A homeowner in Lotbiniere, Quebec, was worried because his home had declined by 4 inches on one side, and he had multiple cracks in his basement. He searched on Google for someone to help him fix these issues when he came across our website. After seeing our many job photos of foundation repairs, he filled out the contact request form. We quickly called Mr. Therrien to book him a free inspection and estimate. Our specialist Patrick visited him in his home and conducted the inspection. He came to the conclusion that it would be best to install 11 push piers in order to stabilize the foundation and keep it from declining any further. Mr. Therrien accepted his proposal, and we scheduled the work for a time that was convenient for him. Our foreman David headed to the home at the scheduled time and began the work. He dug around the foundation on the inside of the basement in the areas the push piers would be installed and carefully installed all of them. He then covered all the holes with cement to hide all the piers. Mr. Therrien can now sleep easily knowing his home’s foundation is stable underneath him. Another job well done by our team at Systemes Sous-Sol Quebec.

Foundation Repair & Basement Waterproofing a Home in Thetford Mines, Quebec

Mr. Mayrand, situated in Thetford Mines, Quebec, was stressed because he had water infiltration in his basement and when he removed the floor, he discovered a lot of mold. He decided then to go online and find a solution. Upon discovering our website, he filled out our request form. We quickly responded to his request and scheduled a free inspection at a time that was convenient for Mr. Mayrand. Our specialist Houssem Ben Salah drove to Thetford Mines at the scheduled time to meet Mr. Mayrand and complete the inspection. Upon noticing the gravity of the damage, Houssem decided the proper course of action would be to install 5 PowerBrace™ Foundation Wall Repair System to address the foundation issues, as well as a WaterGuard® Basement Drainage System combined with a CleanSpace® Basement Finishing Wall System, and a SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump System to address the water infiltration issues.

Our foremen Cedrick and Colin were tasked with this big job and headed to the site in Thetford Mines to complete the installation. They first dug trenches along the foundation walls in the basement and a pit for the sump pump. They then installed the WaterGuard® Basement Drainage System in the trenches, as well as the SuperSump® Premier Sump Pump System in its pit. The WaterGuard is designed to capture water seepage through walls and leaks along the wall/floor joint and directs it to the sump pump. They then installed the CleanSpace® Basement Finishing Wall System all over the basement walls. This system creates an effective moisture and vapor barrier. The wall covering forces all wall seepage and moisture to flow into your perimeter drain system. Finally, they installed the PowerBrace™ Foundation Wall Repair System. This patented foundation wall repair system is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. Our client can now rest easy without worries about his foundation collapsing or water infiltrating his home. Another job well done by Basement Systems Quebec, thanks to the whole team!

Reinforcing foundation walls in Pont-Rouge, Qc

Mr. Boivin discovered this year that he had a problem with his house foundation. One of its walls was curved in the center about 3 ”towards the interior of the basement. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec for a reliable and permanent solution.

The solution for our client was the installation of 5 ArmorLock Carbon straps linked and attached to the joists using our ArmorLock system. CarbonArmor is made of carbon fibers and epoxy and it helps solidify and stabilize cracked or arched foundation walls. When ground pressure forces foundation walls to bend or tilt inward, this is where the ArmorLock system comes in to help. It serves as additional reinforcement as the straps are attached to the ArmorLock system which is attached to the joist. Holding the foundation wall to the ledge joist will prevent soil pressure from pushing the wall inward.

With this system, Mr. Rousseau can have the peace of mind as his foundation wall will not budge.

Exterior foundation insulation in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures

We isolated from this foundation from the outside, since it was under a lot of pressure from the earth because of the movement of soil, water, and moisture.

The SentrySeal system and SilverGlo are a combination of products that we use to protect the foundation by isolating it from moisture and excessive heat transfer.

The SentrySeal waterproof membrane is 60 mils thick and is specifically designed to be a complete and consistent barrier to block water vapor.

The SilverGlo insulation is waterproof and offers a thermal resistance value of R-11 thanks to the graphite particles infused into the insulation. In addition, the reflective barrier that covers this insulation allows the heat to be reflected and stored inside to reduce the cost of heating humid air.
