Installation of a vapor barrier and a sump pump in a crawl space in Gatineau, Qc

The problem

Mr. Sirois noticed a high humidity in the house, cold air on the main floor coming from the floor and some places of the hardwood floor on the main floor was no longer at level. The cause was the humidity in the crawl space. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to add a good vapor barrier membrane, clean the crawl space to improve air quality and reduce the humidity.

The solution

Adding a SmartSump sump pump system, a drainage membrane and CleanSpace vapor barrier. Most of the moisture in the crawl space comes from the earthen floor that contains water and it can come also from the walls. The SmartSump will therefore be able to remove water from the ground outside and away from the foundation. The drainage membrane, on the other hand, is placed on the ground and makes it possible to drain the water that is on the surface towards the sump pump system. The CleanSpace coating which acts as a vapor barrier is placed over the drainage membrane and blocks moisture from the ground.

Basement Waterproofing in Gatineau, QC

Mr. Alex S and his wife owned a house in Gatineau and they were having severe water infiltration problems in their basement every year during spring time, due to the failure of the usual French drain and their old sump pump system.

After contacting many companies that failed to fix their problem, our customers decided to call our company for a free inspection. Following that call, our team estimated their basement and had the perfect solution to solve their problem.

Our professionals suggested the installation of a WaterGuard interior foundation drain and a TripleSafe sump pump. You can see the difference between the existing pump and the one we installed in the picture above.

Now the homeowners are very happy and relaxed since they did not face anymore leaking problems in their basement again.

Waterproofing a wet basement in Saint-André-Avellin, Qc

Mr. Michel from Saint-André-Avellin informed us that he was having problems in his basement since the day he relocated to his new house.

All the cracks he had in the foundation were letting water to infiltrate causing too much moisture and mold in the place.

We have solved those problems by installing an interior drainage system since the  exterior drainage system can do extensive damage to your lawn and cost you a lot of money, and a  SuperSump sump pump system to intercept all water seepage, push it away from her house, and prevent any escape from water vapor and aggravation of molds.
