This sidewalk in Society Hill, SC was posing a tripping hazard for neighbors and children on their bikes. Cantey Foundation Specialists were able to safely lift the sidewalk without heavily disrupting the environment by knocking out the old and replacing with new. 

Billy & Axia J. of Hartsville, SC noticed that his exterior chimney was beginning to lean away from the home.  Worried that it could fall over and damage the home, they called Cantey Foundation Specialists for a free estimate.  System Design Specialist Will Yarbrough inspected the exterior of their home, and found numerous exterior cracks in the brick near the chimney.  Because the soil surrounding the chimney was settling, the whole exterior wall was settling with it pulling the chimney away.  Specialist Will explained to Billy & Axia that the best solution is our helical piers which would lift and stabilize not only the chimney, but also the home back into place!

Michelle H. bought her home in Hartsville, SC a few years ago and loves it. She went to college in Hartsville and since then has considered it home. She found a great job and decided to purchase a home right outside of town. Shortly after moving in, she started to notice the floor sagging in the living room and a drop in the guest bathroom floor. She knew these problems were not going to fix themselves and began her search for just the right company to help. Being a single woman who does not know much about home repair, Michelle wanted to find a company that she could trust. On the radio one morning, she heard an advertisement for Cantey Foundation Specialists and decided to call in. Before John arrived, Michelle already felt comfortable which made the inspection easier. John went into her crawl space and found the places where the floors were sagging. When he completed the inspection, he sat down with Michelle to tell her about Cantey's patented SmartJack system. Sections of soil would be removed where each SmartJack would be installed and filled with tightly compacted crushed stone. This stone would create a solid foundation for the footing that would be placed on top of it, then a galvanized steel beam, a SmartJack, would be attached to the footing. Each steel beam would be attached to a long beam that would run along the top of the crawl space to give the floor lift. The SmartJacks would then be adjusted to create lift and a stable foundation. Michelle appreciated how knowledgeable John was and decided the SmartJack system was right for her. Production Team Leader Israel Santana, Production Team Member Jesus Gonzalez, Production Team Member Matthew Kelley, and Production Team Member Zenen Dominguez came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Michelle could not be happier with the results and feels safer in her own home thanks to Cantey's solution.

Chris H. of Lugoff had a damp and dirty crawlspace that he wanted to clean up before trying to sell his home; Cantey Foundation Specialists had the solution to Chris' problems.  Encapsulating the crawl space assured Chris that he would not only have a clean and presentable space, but he would also have an airtight and mold free foundation.  This new crawlspace added value to Chris' home for an easier sell.  Cantey was happy to find the solution to Chris' problems!

Margaret M. has owned her Lugoff, SC home for quite some time but has finally decided she needs a change. She has always loved her home but she believes it is time to downsize. She no longer needed the space now that her kids have moved out. Margaret decided to get ahead of the game and make sure all would go well with the inspection before she sold the home. First, she wanted to make sure her foundation and crawl space were in good condition. She searched for a local foundation repair company and found Cantey Foundation Specialists. They looked like a trustworthy company with some great reviews plus the inspection was free. System Design Specialist, Scott Townsend arrived to do a thorough inspection of Margaret's home. He found that there were a few places that Margaret did need some extra support. Cantey's SmartJack system could provide the lift and stabilization that her home needed. Soil would be removed at the sites and then filled with engineer fill. A footing is then installed on top of the fill and underneath the steel beam installed above. The SmartJacks are then sized to be secured in place and then tightened. Margaret decided to hire Cantey so that she could sell her home with no issues. Production Team Leader, Aubrey McJunkin, Production Team Member, Oscar Mota, and Production Team Member, Francisco Lopez came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Margaret had no trouble selling her home and the new owner loves the fact that there was a transferable warranty with the SmartJack system.
