Push Piers Close Exterior Brick Cracks in West Columbia, SC
While trimming the grass, a landscaping company noticed numerous cracks on the exterior of a customer's home. The landscaping company showed the customer Anthony T. of West Columbia, SC the exterior cracks and referred him to Cantey Foundation Specialists. Anthony called Cantey the next day to receive a free inspection, and System Design Specialist David McNamee arrived a few days later to diagnose the problem with the correct solution. Specialist David recommended installing four Push Piers to lift the affected corner of the home back into place and correctly stabilizing it. Production Crew Foreman Ryan Shirley hydraulically pushed the piers to stable soil that could support the weight of the home. By finding this perfect soil, the piers were able to lift the home back into place thus closing the exterior cracks. Now, customer Anthony can be confident that his home will no longer have foundation settlement issues!
Sagging Floors in Lincolnton, GA
Johnny, from Lincolnton, GA, had foundation issues in the past, so when his floors started sagging once again he knew immediately that he needed a second opinion. His home was supported by concrete columns and a light-duty post that had settled into the soil causing the floors to sink. We installed three SmartJacks and a Supplemental Beam to raise his floors and further stabilize his home.

Push Piers allow Homeowner to Move Closer to Her Children in Cayce, SC
Patti S. has lived in her Cayce, SC for a little over 10 years now. She loves her home however, she plans on moving in the next 5 years to be closer to her children. Shortly after she moved in, she noticed that the chimney was leaning away from the house and other cracks were forming. Patti did not pay this much mind until recently when an inspector looked over her home. She wanted someone to come in and take a look to see what she needed to get fixed before selling. The inspector told her that the chimney and the cracks needed to be repaired if she wanted to get the full value of her home. He suggested she give Cantey Foundation Specialists a call, which she did and set up an appointment. System Design Specialist John Adams came out and did a thorough inspection of the foundation around Patti's home. John determined that the solution that Patti needed to hold the value of her home was Cantey's Push Pier system. First, the soil would be removed where the piers would be driven into the ground in order to find competent soil. A heavy-duty steel bracket is then attached to the foundation's footing. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to the competent soil that was found below. This system can not only stabilize foundation but create lift that would rid Patti's home of the unsightly cracks and correct the position of her chimney. Production Team Leader Sixto Lopez, Production Team Member Jose Lopez, and Production Team Member Mariano Valdovines came out and effectively installed the Push Pier system to Patti's home. Patti is finally ready to start putting her home on the market and is looking forward to finally be closer to her children.
SmartJacks Lift a Problematic Floor in Cayce, SC
Scott A. has only lived in his Cayce, SC home for a few years now but loves the area he is living in. He had primarily lived in the Upstate of South Carolina until a job promotion brought him to Cayce. When he moved, Scott decided to buy a small home as an investment and in the hopes that he would stay there. Being a homeowner is more than just buying a home though, there are many repairs and upkeep in having a home. When he moved in, he noticed that the living room floor was sloping but decided it would probably not get worse. Unfortunately, Scott was wrong and he decided to start looking for a company that could help. While watching the local news, he saw a commercial for Cantey Foundation Specialists. He called in and was scheduled for an appointment with System Design Specialist Jamie Beresford. Jamie came out and did an inspection of the crawl space before sitting down with Scott. Jamie explained that the sloping floor was due to the original piers not being able to handle the weight of the home. They needed extra support that Cantey's SmartJack system could provide. The SmartJack system installation would start with soil being removed at the sites for the SmartJacks. These holes would then be filled with tightly compact crushed stone that would be the solid ground for the footing. The SmartJack would be specifically cut for Rebecca's crawl space and attached to the footing as well as the beam above. Once the SmartJack is secure, it is then adjusted to create lift and stabilization for the floor above. Scott was confident in the SmartJack system and it being a lasting solution for this problem. Production Team Leader Aubrey McJunkin, Production Team Member David Watson, Production Team Member Francisco Lopez, and Production Team Member Oscar Mota came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Scott no longer has to worry about his sloping floor and knows to not take any problems with his home lightly from now on.
