Jerry S. of Isle of Palms, SC wanted to sell his home in the next few months, but he knew he couldn't achieve this without fixing the retaining wall. Settling foundation around the front porch of this home in Irmo, SC caused the porch to separate from the home, which in turn created cracks in the bricks as the weight of the front porch was sinking away. Helical piers were installed to raise the weight of the porch and lift it back toward its original position. Helical piers are great for stabilizing lighter structures, such as porches, decks and stoops.
