When this homeowner in Shelbyville, TN, noticed cracks in their exterior brick walls, they contacted us at Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair. When our crew arrived they found various cracks around the home's foundation and decided to go with helical piers for repair. Deep holes were dug in strategic areas around the foundation. Then, we went to work placing the helical piers inside the holes. The helical piers were then pushed through the soil, using welded helical plates that easily cut through the soil. Once installed to a certain point, the helical piers work as anchors that support the weight of the foundation and provide structural stability. 

The home in Shelbyville, TN, was suffering from crumbling walls with cracks on both the interior and exterior of the house. After noticing these cracks, the homeowners decided to reach out to Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair for assistance. After evaluating the situation, our crew decided that wall anchors would be best at stabilizing this home. First, our crew dug holes in specific areas around the home. The anchors were then placed inside the holes. Inside the home, small holes were drilled into the walls where the anchor rods were pushed through. Wall anchor plates were placed over the part of the rod that was sticking through the wall. Finally, the wall anchors were tightened to support and straighten the walls.

A simple fix of 2 SmartJack supports under the specified location underneath the homes support structure was all that was needed to bring everything back to level and prevent further dropping.

This customer in Tullahoma, TN  called Frontier when she discovered moisture issues in her crawl space. Upon inspection, there were obvious signs of moisture damage in her crawl space. To mitigate the moisture issues we recommended a crawl space encapsulation. To mitigate the structural issues, we started with the SmartJack installation to lift and stabilize the crawl space. To address the moisture issues that caused this we removed all the old moisture-damaged debris, added drainage matting to the floors, and covered the entire crawl space with our CleanSpace liner, installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and drainage lines. We finished the project by installing a new secure EverLast crawl space door. Now, this customer has a structurally stable, dry, and healthy crawl space.
